about

This set was part of a concert that the Boston Globe described as a "punk-era class reunion, with Rick Berlin as its maestro." The whole night was quite beautiful, moving, and epic. Rick, who is now 77, was on-stage 70% of the time during the 4-hour program. At one point, I was sitting in the green room after we played. I heard the MC call for Rick to appear on stage. The bathroom door flew open and Rick swiftly made his way towards the stage shouting to me as he passed by, "Jesus Christ, Ryan, why did I do this fucking show?" But by the end of the night, with everyone on stage, and all the feelings and memories that had been well-stirred, I imagine he had a very good answer for his own question. Thanks for including us in the night, Rick. We appreciate it. We did not combust. Hope you all enjoy this set.
